Will The Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler Part # D15902 Fit My 2011 Tacoma
Question:
Will the combination engine and trans cooler fit on my tacoma V6 2011. And is the thermostatic sandwich adaptor for the engine oil is included??? cause on the picture and the description part list, we can see the thermostatic sanwich adaptor .. .. . but on the video, the thermostatic is for the trans fluid not the engine oil. I am also looking for a small gauge for the trans fluid temperature. .... What trans fluid temperature gauge would you recommand .. . . Thank you for your time....

Transmission and engine coolers are universal in that the manufacturers do not test the fitment and performance on individual vehicles. To ensure a proper fitment on your 2011 Toyota Tacoma, you will need to measure the amount of space you have in front of the radiator/condenser free of obstructions. The current cooler you have selected in the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler part # D15902 has dimensions of 17" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 3/4" deep. We have not had a chance to install an aftermarket cooler on a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, so our typical recommendation is to use the largest cooler that will fit the space you have available in front of your radiator/condenser.
The universal thermostatic sandwich adapter included in the kit has a built in thermostat. I believe what you are referring to in the video is our Derale Fluid Control Thermostat Kit part # D13011, which is not included in the kit. The fluid controller will allow for you to bypass the cooler when the temperature of the fluids have not reached the minimum 180 degrees required for the thermostat to open the bypass valve.
In order to see the temperature in which your transmission fluid is operating at, you will also want the Derale Temperature Gauge Kit for Transmission or Engine Oil part # D13009.
