Parts Needed to Install an Electric Trailer Brake Controller on a 2000 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Do you have any help video would be great for wiring installation? The Odyssey 4-pin stores inside the hatch, so the standard 7-pin in you kit would be a little awkward unless I run the trailer harness through the weatherstipping of the hatch every time. Thanks.

If your 2000 Honda Odyssey already has a 4-Way trailer connector, what you may be able to do is to route the connector through a grommet in the bottom of the cargo area and out to the trailer hitch where it will plug into the 4 and 7 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. You will need to make sure that you seal up any holes cut or drilled with silicone sealant to keep exhaust fumes and road grime from getting up into the cargo area of the vehicle.
The ETBC7 provides all the wiring, circuit breakers, and parts needed to install the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller, # 90195, that you have referenced. I have included a link to the installation details for the brake controller for reference. I have also included a link to 2 FAQ articles on installing a brake controller from scratch as well as a video showing installation of an ETBC7 kit. The video is on a 2009 Odyssey but it will be pretty much the same on your van. The exception is that you already have the 4-Way installed.
