Will The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar # 11130 Fit My 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible
Question:
Will this hitch fit a 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar, part # C11130, will fit your 2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible. Part # C11130 is compatible with the 2009-2010 Mini Cooper S Convertible and the 2007-2010 Mini Cooper S hardtop.
Part # C11130 includes a drawbar, pin and clip. To complete your towing setup you may be interested in the following items:

If you plan on using a hitch mounted bike rack, you will need to use a bike rack designed to work with a Class I trailer hitch. You will be limited to carrying 2 bikes since all the hitches available for the Mini are Class I hitches. A bike rack I recommend that is compatible with a 1-1/4 Inch Class I hitch is the Thule Camber 2 Bike Carrier, part # TH9058, as it features anti-sway cradles.
Also, when carrying a bike rack or other accessory on the Curt Hitch, #11130, it is required to use stabilizing straps like the Curt Bike Rack Strap with Cambuckle, part # 18050. The Curt Strap # 18050 is recommended to prevent extra sway due to the low tongue weight capacity of the Class I hitch, in order to maintain the hitch warranty and also to provide extra support to prevent damage to the vehicle frame, trailer hitch, or hitch accessory.
I have linked instructions and a video installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar, part # C11130, on a 2009 Mini Cooper that you may find as a good reference.
