When installing the Curt Trailer hitch, # C11496, on a 2011 Honda Accord, you will need to temporarily lower the exhaust to install the hitch. The exhaust will be put back into place when installation of the hitch is complete. It is actually much easier than it sounds. The exhaust hangs on 4 rubber hangers. If you spray some lubricant on them, they will come out fairly easy, especially on a newer vehicle that has not accumulated a lot of road grime.
There is a heat shield that will need to be modified or trimmed and an underbody panel that must be modified or trimmed if it is present. I have included a link to the installation instructions for this hitch that will give you a good idea of what is involved for installation.
To complete your towing set up, the recommended ball mount is # 3593 and pin and clip # PC2. You can use ball # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, you would need to use T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118420. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation of this harness on a similar vehicle.
