The Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer - 7-1/2' Long - 1,640 lbs # K2MMT5X7 will easily be towed by your 2005 GMC Sierra 1500. Your truck has a towing capacity of between 6000 and 7700 lbs and the total gross vehicle weight rating of this trailer is 2090 lbs.
This trailer is an easy to assemble trailer that has everything you need including a certificate of origin so you can get it titled at your local DMV. This trailer has front and rear tailgates and removable side panels.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75362. This is an easy bolt on assembly that has a nice black powder coat finish over an e-coat base for superior rust resistance.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 74682. This will plug into your factory wiring and give you the 4-way connection for your trailer.
For a ball mount, I recommend the Rapid Hitch Adjustable, Steel Ball Mount Kit w/ 2 Hitch Balls - 4" Drop or Rise - 10,000 lbs # AM3461. This ball mount will give you 8 inches of adjustability to tow many trailers level. It has a 2 inch hitch ball compatible with the K2 trailer, and also a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball for other trailer applications. To secure your ball mount and hitch ball, I recommend the InfiniteRule Lock Set for Andersen Rapid Hitch Adjustable Ball Mounts - Stainless Steel - Qty 2 # 34061405-D.
These parts will give you everything you need for this trailer to be compatible with your truck.
