Hitch Extension Recommendation for 2017 Chevy Silverado with 2-1/2 inch Hitch

Question:

I carry my side by side on top of my truck box. I would like to tow my camper with it as well. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado HD 2-1/2inch receiver. My camper is max 8,000 lb with a max 800 lb tw. The side by side hangs off the back of my truck 12inch beyond my rear bumber. I would like to find an extension that will allow me to move the ball of my 2inch WD hitch rearward from 12-14. I found the Brophy HR26 that will move the ball rearward 6. I cant seem to find something in the 12inch range. Would it be possible to find a shank that extends the ball another 6? My current shank is 10inch center of pin to center of pin. Can you please help?

The best options we have is the Curt Hitch Extender part # C45048 which can be trimmed down to 24 inches. This fits a 2-1/2 inch hitch as well.

This is rated for use with weight distribution too but the capacity is 8,000 lbs total plus the capacity of the hitch it is installed in will be reduced by 50 percent.
