Installing Hopkins Brake Force Brake Controller on 2006 Saturn Vue

Question:

I have a brake controller, Brake Force TAP, from Hopkins. You have a wiring connector, HM 47815 @ $14.95. The layout wire color code appears to be the same as the Agility that is specified. Will it work with my Brake Force? Thanks

The black connector on the end of part # HM47815 will work with your Brake Force controller. However, the white connector on the other end is designed to connect to various Toyota trucks and SUVs and will not plug into your Vue which does not have a connector under the dash for connecting a brake controller. The connector can still be used, but the white connector will need to be cut off.

To install the controller in your Vue, it would need to be hardwired, using our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7. The install kit includes everything necessary for completing the installation. If your Vue does not already have a 4-pole trailer connector, you will need to install part # 118418 to provide one.
