Recommended Weight Distribution With Anti-Sway For Lifted 2011 Toyota Tacoma

Hey Etrailer folks! I am towing with a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4 door long bed with v6 and tow package and it also has an old man emu lift with Dakar leaf pack with the overload leaf as well. I have a snug top sport shell and after market rear steel bumper with a swing out and the option of adding 2 jerry cans of fuel and a front steel bumper with a winch and skid plate. I weigh 180 lbs., my wife is 120lbs. and an infant. 4 dogs but total weight for all around 50 lbs. I recently picked up a 2015 R Pod 171 hood river edition that has the standard tank but 2 batteries dont know size yet. Im wanting to figure out a weight distribution anti-sway device for this setup. my hitch height to the center of the hole on the tacoma is 28 3/4, I believe its around 19 inches for the r pod. I live in Utah and camp out in the mountains often and want something that will be super safe and secure. Thanks!

The 2015 R Pod 171 Hood River Edition is a fairly light trailer, but with your lifted truck and this combination, I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # FA92-00-0600 system. The Anti-sway and weight distribution of this system will allow you to do your mountain camping without issue. You will need the 2" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems - 8,000 lbs # EQ91-00-6080 for this application as well as a drop shank. For the drop shank based on your measurements, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 12" Long - 13" Rise, 9" Drop - 600 to 1,400 lbs TW # EQ90-02-4400 which will give you 9 inches of drop and still give you ground clearance.

For security, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver & Coupler Lockset - 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e99039. This will give you keyed alike options to secure your investment.
