How to Select Replacement Trailer Axle

Question:

Hi, I am looking for a replacement axle. The spindle on the axle is offset to make the hub is about 6inch high on the side of the trailer. I didnt see the option on your site. Also how do I measure the length correctly? Thank you

The features you need to match up when selecting a replacement trailer axle are 1) weight capacity; 2) the hub face dimension; and 3) the spring center dimension. Please refer to the linked diagram.

It sounds like you may have a torsion type axle (that does not require leaf springs) that has what is called a drop spindle, one that allows the trailer deck height to be lower to the ground. Similarly, a lift spindle does the exact opposite; it lifts the trailer height relative to the spindle. We do not carry torsion axles.

Our beam axles for up to 3500-lbs are shown on the linked page. Also shown are Timbren axle-less trailer suspension kits that dispense with the axle beam entirely and simply bolt on to the trailer frame. These can offer excellent ground clearance since there will be no axle beam or leaf springs under the trailer. A Timbren kit with 4-inches of drop is # A35RD545.

Just click on the axle weight rating you need, the overall length and the spring center spacing.
