Recommended Weight Distribution System Drop Shank For 5 inch lifted Truck
Question:
I currently have this setup for my TT and lifted truck. I have it on its lowest shank hole, but im either TT nose high or truck squating just going from 2 links to 3 links. I have a receiver need about 5inch , that i use for towing boats. I feel like theres alot of stuff going on when I hookup part # rp66542 to the receiver. Should I purchase a shank instead of using the the Hitch Drop? Thanks

Your Reese Weight Distribution System # RP66542 is not intended to be used with any hitch adapter, because an adapter like you have pictured and are using will drop the tongue weight of your hitch by 50%. You are putting way too much strain on your hitch receiver.
I highly recommend you not use that hitch adapter with weight distribution and make sure your weights are within limits of 50% tongue weight capacity when using a ball mount. For your weight distribution system, I recommend you use the Reese Weight Dist Shank - 13" Long - 6-3/4" Drop to 11-1/2" Rise - 1,400 lbs TW # RP3215.
If you still have squat issues with your truck, I recommend you look into suspension enhancement options.
