Will Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Hitch from a 2014 Ford Fit a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Factory Pucks
Question:
I cannot find a solid answer, but I currently have hitch RP30921 for my 2014 F350. I am in the market for a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 crew cab standard bed. If I order the 5th wheel prep package from the factory, they recommend this hitch: C16520-16025 Does my current hitch work on the GMs with the prep package? Every dealer I ask is clueless and cant give me a concrete answer. I referenced this link, but it was all Curt hitches: https://www.etrailer.com/question-197868.html Thank you for your help!

No, the Chevy/GMC factory prep package pucks are spaced differently than those on the 2014 Ford F-350 so your existing hitch, # RP30921, will not fit. There are several hitches that will fit directly though and I have included a link to them for you. Curt hitch # C16520-16025 is one of the hitches that you can use but there are others, see link.
Most of the hitches that are available are Curt hitches because Curt makes the under bed factory kit for GM. But there is a B&W option as well, # BWRVK3700, rated for 20K. I have linked a video review of this hitch for you.
