Recommended Trailer Hitch to Use with Bike Rack on 2016 Nissan Rogue
Question:
Ive a Yakima fulltilt-4 and a 2016 Nissan Rogue. I watched the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch video and it seems like a good match. Do you agree with this? Any special pins/mods/shims/weirdo parts I need to get this sorted out? Thanks, as always love you guys.

The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75902 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2016 Nissan Rogue and is a great option for using your Yakima FullTilt 4 Bike Rack or any other hitch-mounted accessories. This is the exact trailer hitch I would have recommended for your vehicle. This hitch will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle for you to review.
Once installed on your Nissan Rogue, there will be a distance of 5 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of your bumper. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack is 10 inches, so you will have no clearance issues at all with this particular rack.
You will not need anything else on the trailer hitch to use it with this bike rack. For the bike rack itself, if you plan on carrying any children's, woman's or alternative frame bikes, you may need to use an adapter bar like the Yakima # Y02531. This will provide a horizontal attachment point for level transport. I have attached a video demonstration of this product so you can get a better idea as to how it works.
