Recommendation For 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible With Reese Revolution For 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 6.5 Bed
Question:
We have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 with max tow package and 6.5 ft. bed. Would like a recommendation for our 2017 Jayco Eagle HT 5th wheel that has a factory Reese Revolution pin box. Looking for safest and most quiet hitch. Heard Reese M5 might be a good choice even though were towing no more than 8,500 pounds. Thanks

For your 2016 GMC Sierra 1500SLE, I recommend using the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 you mentioned.
For a custom fit rail kit that will work with either hitch, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50064-58. The custom brackets mount to your frame using existing holes to minimize drilling and measuring. These custom brackets connect the frame to the base rails for your 5th wheel hitch. All of the hardware needed is included. I also recommend the Sidewinder Wedge for Reese # RP44FR. This is a custom fit for a revolution pin box and this hitch for maximum security and functionality.
I also recommend the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Plug - GM, Ford, Ram, Toyota - 9' Long # 50-97-410 to add a second 7-way to your truck bed for easier accessibility and connection.
