Would etrailer.com Brake Assemblies AKEBRK-7-SA fit 3 inch Diameter Axle
Question:
Hello. Im looking for drum brake baking plate assemblies for my trailer. Im not sure if the axle rating. It is a 3inch axle and a 6 bolt rim. Im guessing 6,000lb. But that is just a guess. As the name plate is warn away. Do the same kits generally fit the larger 7,000lb axles also? Thank you.

A 3 inch diameter trailer axle would have a 6,000 to 7,200 lb capacity. Which is what the part # AKEBRK-7-SA that you referenced is designed to fit. What you will want to do is measure the diameter of the assemblies on your axle as well as count the amount of bolts that hold them on. If it's 12 inches and 5 bolts the # AKEBRK-7-SA will fit and work well for you.
