Installing the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a Prodigy P2 brake controller in my 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee I am replacing with a 11 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I will use the existing brake controller. What wiring harness do I need to purchase if the 11 Jeep does not have the factory tow package?

If your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee already has a fully functional 7-Way wiring harness at the rear bumper, and all you are needing is the harness that connects the Prodigy P2 # 90885 to the connection under the driver's side dash on your Jeep, then you will need part # TK93VR.
If you need a wiring harness at the rear bumper of your Grand Cherokee then I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118425, along with the Universal Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. This setup will give you a fully functioning 7-Way at the rear of your Jeep.
If you did not already have a 7-Way at the rear bumper, then you will need to use the included pigtail to connect the P2 to your Jeep. The Red wire will connect to the cold side of your breakaway switch, the Black wire will connect to your battery for 12V power, the Blue wire will be run to an aftermarket 7-Way wiring harness, and the White wire will be grounded.
I have included a video of the kit # ETBC7 being installed on a 2008 Jeep Liberty that you can use as a reference.
