For your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with off-road bumper you can use the Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 3/4" Thick # RM-035 for your base plates. This is compatible with the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motor Home Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-522.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will allow you to use your factory wires while protecting your system from overload. It will give you a nice coil wire connection to a clean 6-way plug on the front of your Jeep. You will need to disconnect your battery for towing, so instead of wrenching each time, I recommend using the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766. This will allow you to turn your battery off with a flip of a switch.

For your braking system, I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This system is a favorite of our installers because it is easy to use and extremely reliable. Once installed and adjusted, there is no further adjustment required. It becomes a plug and play system. On your vehicle, the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 is required to prevent your Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal coming from your truck.
