Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 41944 Fit a 2001 Chevy Silverado 3500 Dually 4x4 Long Bed
Question:
Fit our truck 2001 chev CC 3500 dually 4x4 8 bed Noticed most of the comments where about 2500 truck installations. Concerned about frame width.. Thanks in advance

Whether it is a 2500 or 3500 the 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup models will have a frame width of about 37-1/2 inches. Cab and chassis models on the other hand will have a narrow frame width of 34 inches. Frame width is measured from the outside of one side to the outside of the other. Cab and chassis models are the ones that don't come with a bed and are turned into service trucks. Based on the description of your truck it sounds like you have a regular pickup model.
So if your truck is indeed a regular pickup model and not a cab and chassis model you can install Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 41944. The recommended ball mount kit for the hitch is # EBMK2416. And if the truck does not have a trailer connector you can add a 7-Way using # PK11898 if there is a wire bundle with blunt cut wires above the spare tire or # 30955 if there is a round connector in that location instead of just wires.
