Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Mazda 5 Hatchback
Question:
Do you have, or are you working on a hitch for the 2012 model? Any ETA? Do you need one to fit? Thanks,

For the 2012 Mazda 5, I recommend the Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # C11127. It is a Class I hitch with a 2,000 lbs towing weight capacity and a 200 lb tongue weight capacity. The ball mount and pin and clip are included.
The instructions say you will have to lower the exhaust, enlarge access holes on the frame, and trim the heat shield. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Curt hitch.
If you will be towing with this hitch you will want to check your owners manual or the Mazda dealer for the towing capacity of your 2012 Mazda 5 Hatchback.
To complete your towing setup, you will need the following items:
Curt 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # A-82, or Curt 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # A-80
Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness, part # 56016
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Curt wiring harness.
