Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring for 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Require Trip to Jeep Dealer
Question:
Is the install just plug and play or is there anything that needs to be done at the dealership? It appears that connecting into the existing vehicle taillight wiring just activates the trailer lighting simultaneously and no further parts or service would be needed correct?

For your 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee the Tekonsha Trailer Wiring kit part # 118425 is a confirmed fit. There would be no need for a trip to the dealership. Basically you just plug the kit in line with your vehicle's taillight wiring and this kit will function.
I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
