7-Way Trailer Wiring Installation On 2016 F 150 XLT With Factory 4-Way

Hello. I have a question. Im doing the wiring installation on my F 150. My truck came with a factory 4 flat pin. I already installed the Tekonsha Prodigy Ps#90885. I did plug it to my factory plug inside the cabin using the #20119 adapter. As far as the rear trailer connector I have a question Im using the universal Installation kit # 22292. Since my truck came with the 4 flat pin, do I have to use the replacement OEM wiring harness C-56110? If not, where do I connect the blue wire from the universal kit?

On your 2016 Ford F-150 XLT, since your truck came with the factory 4 way flat, you will want to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # C56307 to add those other functions. The Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 74682 you referenced is for vehicles that already have the US Car Connector present, and that is not the case for your vehicle.

If you want that US Car Connector, you can splice in the 4' Pigtail Wiring Harness for Pollak Replacement 7-Pole RV Socket # PK11998 to the # C56307 and then use # 74682.
