For a smaller compact vehicle like your 2007 2 door Ford Focus, I do recommend going with the smaller 9 cubic feet Rightline Sport Jr. Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S50. This bag will still offer a good amount of storage space and can be mounted to the roof without a roof rack. The bag will use sturdy straps that grab the door ledges or rain gutters on your vehicle to secure it to the roof. The bag is 36 inches long x 30 inches wide x 16 inches tall. A larger bag may potentially interfere with your rear cargo door and simply be too big to be safely supported by your vehicle's roof. I have attached a video demonstration of this product for you to check out.

You will also want to make sure you stay under the weight capacity of the roof on your Ford Focus. This information is usually listed in the owner's manual but can also be found at a local Ford dealer.

When using a cargo bag on a naked roof, I also recommend using the Rightline Non-Skid Roof Protection Pad # RL100650. This pad will protect your vehicle from scratches and prevents any sharp objects you may have stored in the bag from dinging the roof.
