Recommend Trailer Wiring Connectors To Test Functions Of 7-Way
Question:
I have a chevy Silverado 2015 with a 7 pin connector factory. The trailer has 17 feet . I would the led indicator on the connector to the truck. Any suggestion.

It sounds like you are looking for the LED testers integrated into your wiring. If you want the trailer side 7-way with LED, I recommend the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Trailer Connector w/ LED Test Lights - Trailer End # HM48503. This will let you know if power is being received from the tow vehicle for each function to make testing and troubleshooting easy. This is already integrated in the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector w/ Molded Cable and LED Test Lights - Trailer End - 8' Long # HM20087. To make wiring easy, you may want to consider a junction box like # 38656 along with terminals like # 44-5310A.
If you want an LED tester for the vehicle end only, I recommend the Tekonsha 7-Way Trailer Emulator Blade Style Connector # 6562. This will let you test functions on your vehicle.
