All of the equipment that you will need to properly flat tow/dinghy tow your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be base plates, a tow bar, tow bar wiring for working lights, safety cables, and most states now require a supplemental braking system be installed on any vehicle that is being towed.

For your Grand Cherokee I recommend going with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1128. I like the Blue Ox systems because you can detach the tabs so that your Jeep has a much cleaner look when not being towed.

These base plates will work well with the Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380. This tow bar has a 6,500 lbs weight capacity and fits with 2 inch hitch receivers. The Blue Ox tow bars all come with safety cables as well so there is one piece of equipment that you won't have to remember to get.

What I recommend using for the working brake lights is the Custer Wireless LED Tow Light # LIW-LDTL. This system is wireless so you will not have to do any hardwiring into your Jeep's electrical system. You just plug the trailer connector to your RV's 7-Way, turn the light on, then toss the magnetic tow light on the rear of your Grand Cherokee and you are good to go.

The last thing that you will need is a supplemental braking system. My favorite one that we carry is the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400. This proportional braking system will sit on the floor in front of the driver's seat inside your Jeep and will depress the brake pedal in proportion to your RV's brake. The great thing about this system is that it is not vehicle specific so you can use it for years to come.

I have attached some installation videos for you to check out as well.
