How Much Frame Clearance is Needed for Frame Brackets of Reese Weight Distribution RP66075
Question:
mounting point for those brackets which is 32-inches rearward from the center of the hitch ball. Which would be on the back side of propane bottles. Thanks for the pictures of your frame! Looks like your frame is right at 2 inches in width which the frame brackets of the # RP66075 would fit well on. As long as you have 5-1/2 inches of clearance there for the width of the bracket you would be fine. You would need to measure 2-3/4 forward and behind where you measured 32 inches back from to see if the propane tank will be an issue or not.
If not you can always use the bolt on brackets like part # RP58305 which will attach to the side of the frame and not require clearance above the frame at all.
