To determine which hitch class and hitch opening size you have, you will need to take a look at the hitch that is currently on your Lexus GX460. Measure the square hitch opening hole--if it is 2 inches by 2 inches, then you have a class III hitch. A class II hitch would have a 1-1/4 inch hitch opening. Based on the hitch fits we offer for Lexus GX460 models, it looks very likely that your hitch is a class III with a 2 inch opening.
The Curt folding cargo carrier, # e98874, weighs 48 pounds, and should work well if you confirm that a 2 inch trailer hitch is installed on your GX460. I recommend using anti-rattle hitch lock # e99047 to secure the carrier to your vehicle, as it will provide theft deterrence and will keep the cargo carrier shank from rattling in the hitch opening. I am including a link to a video review for the anti-rattle lock if you want to see it in action.
If you want a lighter carrier, I recommend looking at an aluminum carrier like the Curt Folding Cargo Carrier, # C18100, which has the same weight capacity as the steel version, but weighs only 29 lbs. Also, the aluminum construction won't rust like steel.
