Troubleshooting No Trailer Lights After Installing 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2015 Ford E-350
Question:
I would like to install a brake controller in a 2015 Ford e350 with a service body attached, I have purchased the 7 wire plug and plugged it into the harness in the back but no lights works or power to the plug ,all fuses seem to be installed, does the controller need to be hooked up for that to work?? Thanks

If you've installed a 7-way trailer connector, like # 37185, at the rear of your 2015 E-350 your trailer should be getting lights without a brake controller.
When you installed the 7-way was it onto an existing 4-way connector? Did the 4-way connector work before installing the 7-way? Since you've already checked the fuses the issue is in the wiring somewhere.
Once you have the lighting situation figured out you'll need a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. It connects using the harness # 3034-P. You'll also need to run a wire from the brake controller's blue wire to the 7-way to power the brakes using # 5506. If you'd like the 12 volt pin on the 7-way to be hot you'll need to run a wire from the van's battery as well.
