Is the Curt E Series 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible With a Reese Revolution Pin Box
Question:
is a Curt E series compatible with the Reese Revolution Pin Box? And does this combination work in a Ram 1500 with a 57inch box?

The Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch # C16115 is compatible with a Reese Revolution Pin Box. This combination is what you will want to use with your 5-1/2 foot bed on your 2015 Ram 1500 since most sliding 5th wheel hitches do not provide the 22 inches of clearance that a Revolution Pin Box does to enable you to make tighter turns with your short bed.
The E16 is a good entry level 5th wheel hitch, but you will most likely experience quite a bit of chucking and jarring since the king pin will basically just be locked in a square hole. I recommend going with the Curt A16 # C16120 instead because it has 2 interlocking jaws which will provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact. This will give you a much smoother ride than the E16. The A16 is rated for 16,000 lbs Gross Towing Weight and has the same Vertical Load Limit of 4,000 lbs that the E16 has.
If you do not already have base rails installed on your Ram, the Curt Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit, part # C16444-204 will work with either 5th wheel hitch.
Also, if your Ram doesn't already have a 7-Way wiring harness installed in the bed, then I recommend installing the Hopkins Endurance # 41157 to make connecting and disconnecting your 5th wheel trailer much easier.
I have attached some demonstration and install videos for you to check out as well.
