Recommended Roof Bike Rack for 2017 Toyota Prius Prime with Toyota Crossbars

We do offer a wide selection of roof bike racks that should work great with the Toyota crossbars on your 2017 Toyota Prius Prime. Based on my research, it looks like the Toyota bars for your vehicle are aero style design and you will just want to make sure that the bike rack you choose will fit over their dimensions and crossbar spread.

I recommend looking at the Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack # RRRBC050. This is a wheel mount carrier that will let you transport one bike without having to remove the front wheel. It is compatible with aero style crossbars and has a weight capacity of 45 pounds. The minimum crossbar spread they can work with is 21-5/8 inches and the maximum spread is 39-3/4 inches. This carrier includes integrated cable locks to secure the bike to the carrier and a lock system to secure the carrier to the roof rack.

Another rack I like a lot is the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004. This is a frame-mount carrier that can carry 1 bike without needing to remove the front wheel. Sliding wheel holders with ratcheting straps will secure the front and rear wheels to the tray. This will work with a crossbar spread of 18 inches to 36 inches. You can add the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450200 to secure your bike and rack.
