Solution to Add Clearance To Allow Tailgate to Open and Not Hit Powered A-Frame Jack
Question:
I have this jack and my 2016 F150 tailgate hits it just below the paddle switches. I really think if the head on this jack was 2 inches or so higher, I could lower tailgate when hitched. Do you sell any jack, similar in quality/fit etc. that I could swap out ?

What might be your easiest solution would be to go with a longer ball mount in the hitch of your 2016 Ford F-150. This will add a bit of clearance between the tailgate and the jack which should help. How much additional length would it take for the jack to clear? What is the distance between the hitch pin hole of your current ball mount and the ball hole?
Do you know what rise/drop ball mount you have as well? With that info I can pick you out the best solution. I attached a link to our ball mounts and a help article on picking out ball mounts for you to check out as well.
There is a facet category at the ball mount link I attached that shows longer ball mounts as well.
