Cinching tie-down straps let you secure cargo to your truck bed ladder rack or roof rack. Easy-to-use pinch buckles lock straps in place and helps prevent overtightening. Durable polyester webbing. 500 lbs Max load.

Specs:
Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna taking a look at the ProGrip ladder and luggage rack tie down straps, part number 317-505420.These ProGrip four foot tie downs are gonna be great for you single loads such as your ladders, your lumber or your luggage, whether it be in your cargo carrier or cargo basket. They're very sturdy and have a superior break strength for their short stature and they have a different style of hooking up as opposed to your ratchet style. These are very easy to install. You don't have to deal with the hassle of threading through the ratchets or anything like that. And due to their length again, you don't have to deal with the excess that you would when you're tying down just one item. The straps themselves measure four feet long by an 1/8 wide. They have a safe working load limit of 166 pounds with a max load or break strength of 500 pounds and these do come in a quantity of two. When comparing this with other products, one that comes up is gonna be the cargo buckle latching strap with the pinch buckle, part number IMF14062.Now comparing these two products, they are very similar. They have the same buckle style system, but a few differences.
Mainly gonna be the length. With the cargo buckle having a nine foot length as opposed to the four foot that you have here. So, in those situations where you have that slider base ladder, you can wrap the strap all the way around without having to purchase a second set. Also, it has a stronger safe workload limit, which is gonna be 200 pounds compared to the 166 pounds that you get with this strap. Also, the max load work limit for the cargo buckle is gonna be 600 pounds, with this only being 500.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the ProGrip, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We already have our one portion wrapped around our ladder on our existing ladder rack right now.
And now, we'll show you the installation process towards the rear.Start running our tie down through, making sure we wrap it around our ladder. Then, we'll open our lever here, feed our strap through, and just tighten it down. Pull it nice and tight like so. You can put the excess through our buckle here and back on itself a little bit and tie it off.Now due to the width of the ladder, we couldn't wrap it completely around, so you may need to buy an additional couple straps to get to the other side.Alright with everything hooked up, now we're ready to hit the road. And, there you have it for the ProGrip ladder and luggage rack tie down, part number 317-505420..

Arrived on time and as expected. Worked as expected. Used to tie down Fiberglass ladder to RV Ladder/with Bike Rack. Great length option at 4'.
Great product…
One issue: The ‘face’ of the gripping ‘fingers’ are very sharp and almost unfinished in production…
They should be finish filed to make smith so as not to tear the strap when pulling it thru the grip. ? remains though: will it affect the overall finish & make prone to rusting? I made that touch up after… Will see.
Straps have held up well
perfect for tying down chairs to ladder on back of RV

still no fraying and buckles still holding strong
The straps were nicely packaged and survived shipment. The locking straps were EXACTLY what I was looking for. They are extremely visible, strong and durable. They are simple to use and incredibly secure with the "jaws" to secure whatever they are used to hold in place. The visibility aspect was important, because we are using them on our tricycle/bicycle carrier which extends pretty far out from the back of the vehicle so that the increased visibility is helpful to other motorists not to get too close to the back of our vehicle.
Also, the seller communicated throughout the shipping & delivery process. Consequently, Customer Service appears to be exceptional.
