Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector and 7 and 4-Way Plug for a 2003 Ford F-150 Super Crew
Question:
2003 Supercrew F150 with factory tow package has both a 7 way and a 4 pin of the end of this harness. Why is the 4 pin not part of your harness? How can I incorporate both connectors as the OEM harness does?

Expert Reply:
If your 2003 Ford F-150 has the 7-Way and 4-Way and they are separate (not mounted in the same plug like # HM48470 for example), the 4-Way will still be functional as the Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, # 118242, just replaces the 7-Way connector and wiring, and includes the fuses and relays if needed. I have included a link to the installation details and a video that, in part, shows the harness being installed for reference.
If you need to replace the 7-Way wiring and would like to have a 7-Way and 4-Way trailer connector contained in the same housing, you could add Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket, # HM40975. This connector probably will not fit in the OEM location on the truck but it does come with a mounting bracket and hardware.
