For your 2015 Ford F-150 XLT, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # C14016. This will give you a 2 inch receiver for the most variety of accessories and choices for ball mounts. It has an extremely strong rating of 1000 lbs tongue weight and 10,000 lbs towing, which will exceed your vehicle capacity. You will be limited by the capacities listed in your owners manual and not by the parts attached.
For your vehicle wiring, your truck either came with a 4-way factory connector or a 7-way factory connector. If you need to replace them, I recommend the Curt # C56110 to replace a 4-way.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 7" Drop, 7-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10040B. This is an adjustable hitch that will allow you to tow many different trailers level. It comes with 2 hitch ball sizes of 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch for the most common trailer couplers and it has a really nice stowing feature for a clean look when not in use. It also protects your shins when stowed away which is an added perk.
