Wire Diameter and Number of Coils on the Left Hand Ramp Spring, item # RS16933LH

Question:

I would like some more information on these two springs: RS16933LH and RS16933RH. I would like to know the wire diameter and number of coils on the spring. Thank you very much.

The Ramp Spring, part # RS16933LH and part # RS16933RH, has a wire diameter of 1/2 inch, and has 6 full coils and 2 partial end coils that terminate at the spring ends. The overall length of the spring is approximately 10-1/2 Inches and the width of the spring is 3-3/4 Inches. The measurement from each ear to center of spring is 5-1/4 Inches, and the spring is made to fit over 1-1/2 Inch bar.

These springs are rated at 2,000 pounds of torque, to help with lifting and lowering ramp doors on trailers.

The right hand spring will have green paint on it to distinguish it from the left hand spring that is bare metal.
