Option for Carrying 4 Bikes with 2017 Toyota Prius
Question:
Could one carry 4 bikes, including the bike rack of course, on this hitch on a 2017 Prius 2? Im unclear on how the tongue weight gets applied. If we have four bikes, at an average of 30 lbs each, were at 120 lbs, I assume a 4 bike hanging hitch rack weighs at least 40. Im at 180 lbs. Am I okay?

Class I hitches do not have the weight capacity to allow the weight and leverage of a 4 bike rack to be installed on them. If you think about the distance the third and fourth bikes would be away from the hitch of the vehicle the leverage would be just too much and would bend the hitch/frame of the vehicle.
The Draw Tite hitch part # 24966 could be used to carry 2 of the bikes with a hitch rack like the Thule # TH9058 but the other two bikes would need to be carried on a roof rack.
For a roof rack the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK467 is a confirmed fit and would work well for you. Then for a bike rack for each of the bikes you would need to use the Rhino Rack part # RBC035.
