Should Trailer Tire Size of 235/75-15 Be Replaced

Question:

Our new 2015/16 Starcraft AR ONE EXTREME 18 QB camper came with 235/75/15 tires. Dont really want to lose the ground clearance we paid extra for. We will be traveling the USA soon. Is this light truck tire up to the task, or should I replace them ?

What are the letters in the tire size? If they are LT at the end or ST at the beginning you are fine with them on your trailer. If instead it is just the letter P then you really do have to swap out the tires as they aren't rated for use on a trailer.

The closest trailer tire size we offer would be the ST225/75-15 which would only be slightly smaller. Absolute best option would be the Lionshead part # LHWL304 which is a Load Range E with a capacity of 2,830-lb max load at 80 psi and a speed rating of 75 mph. This tire also has a 2 year roadside assistance program as well.
