Troubleshooting Error Code On Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller
Question:
The controller says SH. Checked all trailer wiring and it seems good. However when I ohm the brake wire to the ground wire it reads no resistance when unconnected to the truck. Is that a normal reading? All brakes are working fine when power is applied. 6 wheel braking. Tekonsha Primus brake controller

When S.H flashes on your Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller # TK90160 it means that the brake wire sees short during idle condition or that you are using some test lights or non-Tekonsha testers. Because you say all 6 wheel braking is working fine when power is applied, it could be that you have enough power even with a short to operate your brakes. This could be as basic as a poor ground or you may need to replace the brake control wire to get that code to disappear.
I've attached the installation details that help with this code to assist.
