Recommended Replacement Trailer Wiring Connector for 2016 Chevrolet 3500 with a Flatbed
Question:
I have a 2016 Chevy 3500 chassis cab with a flatbed, who ever installed the flatbed cut the metripack connector off the truck side trailer wiring harness. Then they used the wires in a standard 7 way trailer plug with the old style lugs that you screw/clamp each wire to. Can I use this plug and wire lead to put the factory metripack style end back on the truck harness.

The Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM11141144 referenced in your question can absolutely be used to put a standard connector back onto the 7-way harness on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 that has a flatbed.
You will just need to hardwire the connector into the 7-way on your vehicle. You may want to test the wires using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to ensure you are making the correct connections, wire to wire. I also recommend using heat shrink butt connectors like the Deka # DW05744-10 in order to provide a more durable and sound connection.
