Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Subaru Crosstrek that Doesn't Require Stabilizer Strap
Question:
Looking at a trailer hitch for my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, and wondering how a stable strap would hookup to it for my platform bike hauler. Cant really see how it would work like cars with trunks?

With platform bike racks the stabilizer strap like part # 18050 does require a bit more creativity but we have come up with a solution. What you need to do is run the strap through the bike frame and then around the center post of the bike rack and then back to the trunk lid. Check out the picture I attached for more info.
Or the easier alternative for your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek is get a hitch like the Draw Tite part # 76084 which does not require the strap at all. This would give you one less thing to worry about.
