Brake Controller & Installation Kit Recommendation for 2005 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SR5
Question:
Hi, Im needing some assistance. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, double cab sr5, 4x4. It has a flat four pin connector that has broken. I would like to set it up for towing a camper so Im needing a brake controller and a 7pin connector as plug and play as possible. What are your best options? The current 4 pin plugs into a gray connector under the bed. Thank you.

We do not have a plug-and-play option for your truck but we can get you all set with the parts you need to install a brake controller and 7-way on your 2005 Toyota Tacoma.
You can read the positive customer reviews if you like but it is easy to recommend the Prodigy P2 brake controller # 90885 for its easy operation and reliability. You will use our install kit # ETBC7 to hardwire the P2 and install the 7-way. We do not offer the OEM 4-pole part but we do have an aftermarket 4-pole you can use, part # 118496, which IS a plug-and-play install. An install video is included for you showing a Tacoma like yours.
