Recommend A Bolt-Thru Fulton 1200 lb Trailer Jack
Question:
I have a Triton trailer with a 800# Fulton jack made in the USA model TJ5010101 that is welded to the frame with the c clip swivel type, can I just remove the c-clip and replace the jack part will the new ones fit or does Fulton make a replacement jack where you dont have to cut and weld, would like to go to a 1200# Thanks

I contacted our representative at Fulton. He informed me that the model jack you have referenced, may be the TJ507, as they do not have a record for the TJ5010101 jack. He informed me that the newer model jacks will not fit the older jack mounts. The reason this is, is that a few years back they redesigned the mounts as to make them fit better and rattle less.
For you to install a new jack you would need to install a jack and use the mounting system the new jack uses, which many of the jacks we carry include. Whenever replacing a trailer jack, I would recommend replacing the jack and the mount as most of the jacks come included with the new mounting kit and hardware.
For a jack with a 1,200 lb. capacity that does not require welding or cutting to install, I would recommend the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack, part # FXP10, which comes with the necessary mount kit and hardware to mount to your trailer.
I have linked a video installation of another model bolt-thru jack that you may find as a good reference.
