Is Suspension Enhancement Needed if Towing Setup Has Weight Distribution System

Question:

Im preparing to pull my 33 foot Outback by Keystone from Maine to Florida. I had planned to tow my 33 foot travel trailer with my F350 but I fortunately I was in an accident. I purchased a 2007 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 liter V8. I am adding a weight distribution hitch and a brake controller. I am Contemplating adding rear air suspension as well but not sure that I need it? The truck is rated for 10500 with the distribution hitch. My trailer is 6900 dry but will be loaded. Im estimating that the trailer will weigh about 8500 pounds. Any input or suggestions? Thank you!

A properly rated and set up weight distribution system will negate the need for a suspension enhancement kit. It will do all the work of the suspension kit and will reduce the sag.

When your trailer is fully loaded it's tongue weight is going to be between 850 and 1,200 lbs. That means the best setup will be the Strait Line system part # RP66084 which has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs and the only sway control that works to stop sway before it starts. This will be a great solution that would not also require suspension enhancement.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
