Curt Q24 and Q25 Fifth Wheel Hitch Comparison for 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 w/ Factory Rail Kit
Question:
Is that there any difference besides the rating? All of the features appear to be the same. Should I buy one vs the other for any reason?

The only real difference between the Curt Q24 # C16545-16025 and Q25 # C16069 Fifth Wheel Hitches are the weight capacity, as you mentioned in your question. The Curt Q24 has a 6,000 pound tongue weight capacity and 24,000 pound gross towing weight, while the Q25 has a tongue weight capacity of 6,250 pounds and gross towing weight of 25,000 pounds. Both 5th-wheel hitches are designed to work with the factory rail kit on your 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 and have the nice 2-jaw locking system that provides greater security and less rattle when towing your trailer. I also really like the cushioned head on both systems that will help a lot with absorbing road shock.
I recommend going with the higher rated Curt Q25, even if you do not plan on reaching its capacity because it gives you more wiggle room and you won't have to worry about upgrading if you ever find yourself with a heavier trailer. I have included a video demonstration of this hitch for you to review.
I also recommend getting a 5th-wheel Wiring Harness like the Curt # C56000. Once installed, this will provide a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck for easy hookup with your trailer.
