Weight Distribution Hitch for 2015 Ford Expedition Towing 2017 Apex Nano 15X

Question:

I have a 2017 Apex Nano 15X trailer. My Expedition pulls the trailer with no issues I do believe it would track much easier and be safer to have a weight distribution hitch. Weight is 2920 Dry and can hold an additional 1000 pounds tongue weight is 360 pounds. Im looking for a weight distribution hitch that would be compatible with this trailer and not over kill. My thought is the FA92-00-0450 would be a good option. Suggestions?

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Most likely your tongue weight is going to be over 400 lbs when loaded so the best setup will be the Reese Strait Line part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and features the only sway control on the market designed to prevent sway before it starts.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
