Recommended Weight Distribution and Anti-Sway Control for a 2005 Ford F-150
Question:
Hello, Im looking for an anti sway weight distributing hitch for my trailer. The tongue weight of the trailer loaded is around 600 lbs. I pull it with a 2005 f150 with tow package. My trailer tongue is about 6 inches taller than the receiver hitch on my truck and my trailer has a two inch coupler. tI need one with a two inch ball. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a great option for you to be able to tow your 600 lb tongue weight trailer with a weight distritubion and sway control on your 2005 Ford F-150.
Reese has their Strait-Line Weight Distribution with Sway Control, part # RP66073, that is perfect for your application. It can handle a Tongue Weight from 400lbs-800lbs and has a Gross Towing Weight of 10,000 lbs. My favorite thing about this system is that the sway control will still allow you to back up, unlike a lot of the other sway control options out there.
This system does not come with a shank or a hitch ball, so you will want to use a shank with a 6 inch rise, like part # RP54970, which will help you to tow level. I also have a hitch ball, part # A-90, which is 2 inches and will fit perfect with your trailer.
