Bike Rack that Will Allow the Tail Gate of 2008 Honda Ridgeline to be Opened
Question:
I have a 2008 Honda Ridgeline with 2 inch rear hitch. Will the Swagman Chinook S64683 tilt down enough to allow operation of the tailgate? Is there a more appropriate choice for a wheel-supported 2-bike carrier that will allow tailgate access?

I contacted Swagman since we don't have any test fits of the Chinook # S64683 on a 2008 Honda Ridgeline and they confirmed that it will not allow you to lower the tail gate if you have bikes loaded on the rack.
Another option you might consider if the SportRack Ridge Swing # SR2415 which swings all the way to the side of the vehicle. It is however a hanging rack instead of a platform rack.
