Cutting Needed to Install Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2016 Honda CR-V
Question:
75742 hitch. Is the video for the 2013 you have on your site with cutting the panel to fit the 75742 use the same cut out? If it is to be cut in different location and width and length is different can you please tell me. I had installed one on a 2012 crv before. Any video on 2016 crv install? Thanks. Love your videos!

We do have a video showing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75742 being installed onto a 2016 Honda CR-V like yours. I've linked it to this page.
If you look at the video of the 2016 and skip ahead to about the 2:15 mark you'll see the process for cutting. I've also linked the install details of both hitches.
If you're going to be towing with your CR-V you'll also need a wiring harness. The # 118561 is confirmed to fit and installs by plugging into a connector that is trim panels on both sides of the rear cargo area.
You'll also need a ball mount like the Draw-Tite # 36061 that will provide you with 3-1/8 inches of rise. I've linked our selection of ball mounts that will fit the Class II hitch as well as an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop you need.
