Recommended Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller For 1998 Ram 2500

Question:

Hi. I own a 1998 dodge 2500 pickup that I tow trailers with. Ive got a techonsha voyager controller that Ive used for several years, but would like to upgrade to prodigy P-3 controller because of the added LED and other features. Can I just upplug the old and plug in the new? What unit would you recommend? Thanks

The Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 will use the same wiring adapter harness # 3020-P as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, so you can simply plug and play.

I do recommend the Prodigy P3 you mentioned over all of the other brake controllers. I really like the LCD screen that allows you to simply glance at the unit to know what is working properly or what is a possible issue. I also like that there is no code deciphering and that it is straight forward. It will even do some troubleshooting for you and give you voltage measurements. It has 3 levels of boost and is customizable to your driving preferences.
