Hitch Height Increase with Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter DM6099 for Ram Prep Package

Question:

I have just purchased a 2016 Ram 3500 4 door 4x4 short bed truck with factory prep kit. I have a Pullrite 18k #2900 ISR Superglide 5th wheel hitch from my old truck. Will the Demco Hijacker 25k DM-6099 Ram adapter convert my old hitch to my new truck mounting system? And what can I do if the 5th wheel does not sit level with the new hitch system/truck ? Yes, the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099 will allow a 5th wheel hitch meant for industry standard rails (ISRs) to be installed in a Ram truck with the factory prep package. This adapter will add only about 3/8-inch to the installed height of the hitch as compared to standard

The similar adapter from Reese, part # RP30154, adds 2-inches of height to the hitch set up.

If you find your hitched trailer sits nose high with the Demco adapter installed you can adjust the hitch height setting or shift the position of the pin box on the trailer.
