4-Way Recommendation for 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Light Bar
Question:
Good afternoon. I recently purchased an LED Tailgate Light Bar that uses a standard 4 pin tow connector. However, my car, a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, does not have a plug that goes into the 4 pin adapter. What wiring kit do you have and recommend that I use. The LED Tailgate Light Bar also comes with a white cable that is used for activating the white reverse light. I appreciate your help with this inquiry. Thank you!

Sounds like you are in need of a 4-way trailer wiring harness on your 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For that you would want to use the Tekonsha kit part # 118394 which is a confirmed fit. Now if you want to tap into the reverse light circuit you will need to find that circuit on your vehicle by testing the wires that run into the reverse lights with a circuit tester like part # 3808. The wire that sees voltage when the vehicle is put in reverse is the one to attach to the white wire of your light bar.
You can use the 5-way adapter part # 47515 for this. But you will need to cut the 4-way off your light bar and install the # HM47910 in place of it. The fifth circuit would wire to the reverse light circuit of your light bar.
