Hello, Do I really need a stabilization strap for this? 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I - 1-1/4 I have a 1UP and I only have a single bike rack configuration. Thanks

For your 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I - 1-1/4" # C11457 according to Curt's instructions requires stabilization strap # 18050 for any non-trailer load including bike racks and cargo carriers. It is one of the draw-backs to Curt trailer hitch receivers that use without that strap voids warranties. You can see in the attached installation details their requirement at the very top in bold.
